The Unofficial Internet Book List

Ordering Books

In association with amazon.com

I started the Unofficial Internet Book List back in 1993 when there were, oh, around ten books about the Internet. With relatively little information available, I created the list so that folks could choose the Internet book that was right for them. Today, the Internet is teeming with people -- and the Book List has grown accordingly, now listing more than 800 books. Now there's too much information rather than too little -- but I think the List's central goal is a still necessary one: give folks the information they need to find the book that's right for them.

The Book List has grown and changed over time -- from an occasional Usenet posting to a Web site. With the proliferation of Internet commerce, it makes sense that once you've found the book that's right for you, you should be able to buy it via the Internet. So, The Book List has associated with Amazon.com, a well-respected online bookstore. If you want to buy a book, Amazon's secure order form is just a click away.

A word about the price: Amazon's prices are often less than the suggested retail price, and even if not, prices can change...so if you're going to buy a book, please pay attention to the price listed on Amazon's web page rather than the price listed in the Book List.

The ordering feature is new--you may find a few dead links to Amazon's catalog. I'm working on clearing those up pronto.

Best,
Kevin Savetz
