Notes: The New Hacker's Dictionary is a great book for learning about the various slang, jargon and customs and folklore of the 'net (as well as other lairs of the hacker.) Very silly and highly recommended. You can get it for free online (The Jargon File) at http://www.ccil.org/jargon/jargon.html, but the bound book makes great bathroom reading and contains silly cartoons and stuff.
