Notes: HTML Plus introduces the reader to HTML 2, then presents HTML 3 (not just Netscape HTML but the real HTML 3 standard). It emphasizes proper tag construction and tagging document structures. Other sections include hypertext theory, a gentle introduction to Perl, two chapters on developing Java applets and VRML worlds, creating CD-ROMS, making documents searchable, authoring for users with disabilities, and many others. The text ends by introducing and drawing the readers attention to other SGML applications so the reader is aware that HTML is but one of many publishing options for the Web.
