Text: ARCATA - Hands-on computer classes for professional development are being offered during the spring semester through Humboldt State University's Office of Extended Education. All classes offered are scheduled on weekends and evenings. The computer classes vary widely from introductions to the Macintosh or DOS systems to learning Excel and Wordperfect, to more advanced classes which show participants how to build a 486 clone. Other courses focus specifically on tips and tricks for the popular spreadsheet program, Microsoft Excel 4.0, its database capabilities, formatting and printing and charts and graphs. Also covered are Adobe PhotoShope (see previous message in this conference), Mac System 7 and customizing Windows and hard disk management techniques for IBM MS-DOS computers. These classes are only a few that will be offered by Humboldt State's Office of Extended Education during the spring semester. For a complete schedule of classes or to register call 826-3731 or FAX 826-5885.
