In the aftermath of the recent Humboldt earthquakes, a lot of
organizing has been taking place to pick up the pieces.  Larry
Goldberg, the club president, organized a county-wide fundraising
effort virtually single-handedly - with his Mac portable powerbook. 
Traveling from meeting to meeting with Red Cross, Salvation Army &
local non-profits, he was on-line with data and information before he
