Mac outshines MS-DOS

Text: More work can get done on the Macintosh than an MS-DOS machine, according to a study of 98 Fortune 1,000 MIS managers and 343 Fortune 1,000 professionals, conducted for Apple by Diagnostic Research Inc. The study, published in the February edition of Apple Direct, also found: Professional users of the Macintosh reported using an average of six software packages, compared with an average of four among MS-DOS users. And Mac users were familiar with more than 16 applications, 10 for MS-DOS users.
